Obituary of Sherry Lynn Dixon
Sherry Lynn Dixon, born on March 17th, 1960, in Dunnville, went home to God on January 6th, 2025 at the age of 64.
A loving mother, nana, and cherished friend; Sherry was the epitome of generosity, kindness, and strength. Her final act of kindness was to give the gift of organ donation. Sherry was a dedicated mother to Jessica and beloved nana to Aris. She found immense joy in watching her daughter and granddaughter grow, always ready with love and guidance. The bond she shared with Aris was the corner stone of her life.
Sherry was a passionate gardener and her garden was a testament to her care and dedication. Her creativity also shined in the kitchen. She was known for her wonderful baked goods, with tins of treats she was excited to gift to friends and family every year. She was also an incredibly talented artist, a passion she passed on to both Jessica and Aris.
Sherry treasured the times she spent traveling and exploing new places with friends and family. She was always making new friends on all of her adventures.
Her friends were a vital part of her life. Known for her generosity, fierce loyalty, and infectous laughter, Sherry built lifelong friendships that she held dear to her heart.
Sherry is survived by her daughter Jessica, granddaughter Aris, brother Richie, and her nieces and great nieces.
She was predeceased by mother Dorothy Dixon (Taggart), and father Murray Dixon.
A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held on at the Fort Erie legion on February 1st, 2025 from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue, a cause Sherry cared for deeply.
Though she may no longer be with us, her love, warmth, and vivacious spirit live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
