My condolences to the Susick family…. Thoughts and prayers at this time. I worked with Dave at the same real estate office Niagara View. We both were in the same class and real estate courses… then we started our careers at the same brokerage…he was a very kind man with a good sense of humour… may he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Dave and I spent so much time together, laughing over ridiculous things, driving around in his truck, just enjoying life.
My deepest condolences to your family.

When you got to know Dave, you saw he was extraordinary.
He was a fixture at the local's seating area, the Scuttlebutt bar.
He was quiet, reserved, and always looked thoughtful. That was the facade that he wished to portray. Behind that facade was a knowledgeable, strong person on his chosen road. He was one of those people you wanted to get to know. When you did as I did over the years, you found a man with well-thought-out points of view and a vast knowledge of Fort Erie, its structure, and its people.
As a friend, I found a person who loved to come in, sit down, and discuss many subjects calmly and thoughtfully, from simple odd jobs to complex approaches to projects. If a beer was offered, it was often accepted. He had time and interest in real subjects.
His closest friends were his dogs. They treated him well, and his first thoughts were their happiness.
Through many projects we did at my place, Dave was there with strength—not always physical, but always supportive and with fresh ideas.
I will miss him.
I would also like to thank those connected to Scuttlebutts in any way: patrons, staff, or customers. They were his family, and they gave of themselves daily, through good and tough,to make Dave's life a smoother road

David, a bright, engaging denizen of Scuttlebut’s, enjoyed by all except those who didn’t want to watch that many hot rods making only left turns on North American race tracks.
David has been genuinely missed by all who still appear at the ‘Butt and recognize something special has been lost from our lives.
A few days before his departure, my bride Theresa drove him to his reservation supplier of butts of another name, and despite his obviously frailing condition with radio cranked up they sang ‘60s and ‘70s tunes at full throttle. Can’t comment on the pitch but Theresa said he carried all tunes very well.
Another friend of David’s, Jamie Burton, described him very well - “He got in his car, locked the doors, chose his highway and drove away looking back with a smile on his face.”
Travel well our friend on this your next voyage.
