Mrs. Bomberry was one of my teachers at OLV back in the early ‘80’s. She always showed much love and appreciation of her students. She was gentle and kind and had the best smile. Her legacy will live on with her family and all who were taught by her.

I met Rita when she became a tutor in her retirement years working for my mother. She was a wonderful colleague and it was a delight to have her in the library. Rita was and will remain in our minds an elegant, gracious and intelligent woman whom we were blessed to work with.
On behalf of my mother, Sharon Whissell-Fisher and myself, I offer my deepest condolences to Rita's family and loved ones.
In time, I pray this loss will turn into wonderful and comforting memories.

Rita you will be missed dearly.
I am thinking of the Bomberry/Palumbo family and all those who loved Rita. Sending my condolences and prayers as you say goodbye to your loved one.
Rita was so very proud of her children and grandchildren. Rita always had a sparkle in her eyes when she spoke of Mia and Luca.

Rita taught me over 45 years ago when I attended OLV. Just last week when I spoke to her I shared my joy with her as a teacher to me. She always gave her students special cards if you were kind or caring in class. Fast forward she was my mother’s best friend and we all got to enjoy her company at family summer gatherings that continued from those days in grade 1. A special lady who cared for her family and worried for her children and grandchildren so much due to the fact she loved them so much. Rita, heaven gained an amazing angel and thank you for touching our lives in a loving and caring way.
