Obituary of Carolyn Gloria Madsen
Carolyn Madsen, born on June 9, 1947, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on September 10, 2024, at the age of 77. She lived a life marked by love, faith, and devotion, always greeting those around her with a warm smile and a heart full of kindness. Carolyn’s unwavering love for God and others was evident in all she did, and she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and generosity.
Carolyn devoted her life to her family, embodying a spirit of unconditional love that touched everyone she encountered. She was the beloved wife of the late Ben Madsen and a devoted mother to Ben (Colleen), Donna, and Jerry (Sherry) Madsen. Her deep affection extended to her grandchildren, Mathew, Stephanie, Emmalee, Ashley (Mario) Rossie. David,Jade and Amber .
Carolyn's nurturing spirit and boundless love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
She cherished her large family of siblings, including the late Esther Wakerall (2021), Fred (Chris) Kirschner (2018), Jerry (Pam) Kirschner (1971), Ron (Darlene) Kirschner (1997, 2022), Marvin (Barb) Kelso, Bonnie (2024), Nancy (Angus) McIntosh, Elaine (Ron) Sharpe, Gloria (John) Fisher (2017), Roger (Shirley) Kirschner (2003), and Rose (Wayne).
Carolyn's life was a testament to her deep Christian faith. She was a beacon of hope and a prayer warrior for all in need. Her love for Christ shone through her acts of kindness and her willingness to embrace everyone without judgment. Though her loss is deeply felt, we find comfort in knowing that she has been promoted to glory and is now rejoicing in heaven.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on September 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Benner Funeral Services, with a funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. in the Chapel. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
Following the burial, a celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at the Crystal Ridge Dream Center, located at 385 Derby Rd., Crystal Beach, where friends and family can gather to honor her legacy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Crystal Ridge Dream Centre, an organization dedicated to feeding the hungry and serving as a beacon of light in the local community.
