Obituary of Ida Bertha Hocking

Ida Hocking (née Jacobi)

October 1, 1929 to September 5, 2024

 

Surrounded by her family and love Ida passed peacefully Sept. 5

 

Such a fun, loving and witty woman she was loved and adored by so many. Her family was her world. 

 

Predeceased by her parents, siblings and many other loved ones. 

 

Ida is survived by husband Jim,  daughters Lynn Barber, Denise (Tim) Morin, Jane (John) Guthridge and JoAnn (Dan) Walchuk.  She is also survived by her wonderful 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Thank you to the nurses and PSWs at DMH for your support and exceptional care. She had so many nice things to say and loved laughing with you. 

 

And to Dr Scher. Mom was so comforted by you as we all were. The compassion, kindness and comforting ways you showed her was more than we could have asked for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
