Obituary of Pat Rawlyk
Obituary for Patricia “Pat” Rawlyk (1942–2024)
Patricia Philomena Marie Rawlyk (nee Collis), beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, at the age of 81, in Fort Erie, Ontario. She now rests in eternal peace, reunited with her late husband, Jim Rawlyk.
Pat enjoyed her passion for gardening. Her green thumb transformed her backyard into a vibrant oasis, where flowers bloomed and thrived under her care. Pat’s love for gardening was evident in every blossom and leaf she nurtured.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Kim Landrean (Brian), her son, Chris Rawlyk (Connie), and her cherished grandchildren: Bill Cross (Krista), Hannah Rawlyk and Alyssa Rawlyk. Pat’s legacy extends to her two great-grandchildren, James and Ben, who brought immense joy to her life.
She will be dearly missed by her cousin and loving companion, Jennifer Collis, who shared countless memories and laughter with her.
Her brothers, Kevin (Ellie) and Vic share in the grief of losing their dear sister as does her brother in law Phil. Together, they remember Pat’s laughter, wisdom, and the countless memories they shared. Predeceased by sister Peggy and sister in law Belle.
Pat leaves behind her nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish the moments spent together. Her legacy extends beyond her immediate family, reaching out to embrace those who knew her well.
In honour of Pat’s memory, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local humane society. Pat’s compassion extended beyond her garden, and she would be pleased to know that her legacy will continue to support animals in need.
A private memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate Pat’s remarkable journey. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
