Obituary of Tony Fazio

 Anthonio “Tony” Fazio

Surrounded by the love of his family, Anthonio (Tony) passed at the Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie on August 6th, 2024 at the age of 92. Tony immigrated from his birthplace Realmonte and arrived in Canada on April 9th, 1957. Loving husband of Teresa for 62 years, proud father of Joe (Kelly), Mike (Kim), and Angela (Ken) Der Krikorian. Cherished Nonno of Kaitlyn (Brad) Andreasen, Michael, and Alyssa. Survived by his sister Giovanna Argento. Predeceased by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, 1 brother and 3 sisters. Also survived by his special nephew and business partner for over 40 years Vince Cottone. Survived by his in-laws Angelo (Lennie) Sansano, Tony (Dianne) Sansano, and Carmela (Jack) Cox, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was well respected by all. Many will remember him as the president of Fazio Fiberglass. He was also a proud lifetime member of the Italo-Canadian Club. Benner Funeral Services are entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday August 9th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday August 10th at 11am. Entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Scher, Dr. Csanadi, nurse Rebecca, and the many PSW’s who came to care for Tony, especially Nancy. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital.
