Gloria and I shared so many memories with a friendship that spanned almost 85 years. Our lunch together just a year ago was a wonderful chance to reminisce with stories and photos of those good old days. Gloria’s favourite grade 7 teacher read us, ‘Anne of Green Gables’ and I recall how Gloria would lay her head on her desk to dreamily listen to Mr. Gillespie. We loved our many sewing projects together too. In high school, we’d stroll in our newly stitched outfits to the coffee bar, waving and smiling to all the honks and whistles of passers by. Much later, Gloria and David helped Will and I find a place to rent in Richvale when Will started flying out of Maple. I’ll miss Gloria. She always teased me about being the much older one - all of 5 months! And I miss the way she would say, “ Hi Kiddo”. Heartfelt condolences to all. Muriel Meister
