Just learned of Mikes passing upon returning home. He was a life long friend of our family . My Father and Mother were at one time business partners even employing Anna. Many fun times we’re had socializing together. Mike was a well respected community leader!and his advice was always appreciated. To my dear cousins,
My sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad. Uncle Mike was always a joy to be around. I still have fond, long ago memories of learning to play euchre in your backyard on Phipps. Joyful days! I certainly feel he is now dancing with his two beloved ladies, happy to be reunited once again. Holding you all in my heart.

Mike George was a true gentleman. My husband Bob worked for Mike at Ziff and George and thought the world of him. Bob passed two years ago so I am speaking for him as well. He is united with his lady. The world won't be the same without him. ❤️ Diane Osborn

Dearest George family, so many memories and smiles I have of your beloved Dad... My upbringing and respect for my elders had me addressing him as 'Sir' or Mr. George... He pulled that special smile and said "... please, Randy, we're family... it's Mike or Uncle Mike.." still have happy butterflies thinking of that moment. Speaks to his character, warmth and kindred soul.
During a most critical moment with the Knights of Columbus (#3320) our members were seeking his counsel on an essential matter concerning our Hall... I still recall his impact on our members, his word was gold and sage guidance was impeccable and unassailable. The guidance was in the best interests of of our Council and passed unanimously. Such was the esteem he was held amongst his peers
He would crack a stoic joke with me that so long as his Lord hasn't called him home, he would endeavour to serve and bring about His Kingdom here on earth.
God bless Mike George and may heaven rejoice with its newest angel, so beloved here who made a difference for the better.
