Obituary of Kim Stephen Jariett

JARIETT, Kim -1953-2024 - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved husband Kim Jariett, on Tuesday July 8th, 2024 at the age of 71. Kim was a devoted husband of over 48 years to his loving wife Julie (nee Laprairie).

Together, Kim and Julie built a life filled with love and countless memories. Working 34 years until retirement in 2005 at Vale/Inco as an electrician, allowed him to forge wonderful friendships. In his retirement, he developed a love for the outdoors, gardening and cycling. 

He is survived by his sister Joyce (Colin) Throop, sister-in-law Denise Laprairie, many nieces and nephews, including Cindy (Tommy) Szaro, their children Amanda and Cassie, Sheri (Mike) Whyte, their children Max and Sophia, Paul (Tanya) Throop as well as his extended family and dear friends.

Predeceased by his other siblings, his mother Mary Jariett, his sister-in-law Sylvia (Lawrence) Landrie, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marcel and Amanda Laprairie.   

Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Avenue, Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Friends and family will visit on Saturday July 13th from 11 am until the time of services in the chapel at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kim’s memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society for Prostate Cancer, and would be appreciated by his family.
