Terry, I was saddened to learn of your Dad’s passing and regret that I could not have been with you in Fort Erie. I will always remember of Ed as a hockey player’s “hockey player”. He passed is great instincts for the game down to his son. I’m sure he is now happily developing the sport up above the clouds. Love to you and your family. Speed

Dear Terry and family, My deepest condolences as my heart goes out to you. Ed was a fine gentleman whose kindness and authenticity was recognized by all whom he encountered. He had a smile for everyone, had an optimistic outlook on life and had a good sense of humour. I was honoured to know him. My mom was fortunate to have spent many precious and fun times during their time together. I deeply cared for him. May your precious memories comfort you while his spirit lives on in your hearts.

On behalf of the alumni at Byrnell Manor Boys Camp. We all shared memories about Chad that at the time we thought were unique. All these years later these ‘unique’ memories were actually shared by hundreds of us. He was truly one of a kind. Thanks for helping boys turn into young men, on and off the ice. We will never forget you Chad. God speed.

Sad to see him go. He was truly a gentleman's gentle man. My acquaintance was brief working at the Cedar Bray pro shop many years ago... The pro was friendly with many of the Leaf's Ed amongst them. My soon to be brother in law was badly injured by a hit and run driver. His recovery was touch and go for several days. Ed was very supportive and sweet as he called into the pro shop whenever he was in town for progress reports. A kind and caring individual. John Greenhough

My deepest condolences to Ed’s family and friends. I knew Ed and Louise. I worked at the Fort Erie post office for 20 years where they would come and chat with me and make my day. Ed gave me an enlarged signed photo of himself in net as a Toronto Mapleleaf which I dearly cherish and have hung up in my home. He was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. My heart aches from his passing. May he rest in peace and May his family find some comfort in knowing he was very well loved.
