To all of John's family~ My daughters and I were saddened at the news of John's passing. He's been our down-the-street neighbour on Lepp Ave. for more than 30 years, always friendly with a cheerful "hello' or a chat when I was out walking the dog. Both he & Greta were so kind & generous with our children when they were young, stopping them on the way home from school & asking how things were going. Our street has changed a lot since those early days and we will certainly miss John, our long-time neighbour. Things won't be quite the same without him. Please accept our most sincere condolences. May he rest in peace.

John was my stepfather for some 60 years and a devoted, dedicated husband to my mother Greta. I remember his good-natured and fun-loving ways and his enviable strong work ethic. He worked as advertising manager at Arrow shirts for over 10 years, then moved to the Niagara Tourist & Convention Bureau, where he spearheaded the Festival of Lights initiative. Later in life, his entrepreneurial spirit kicked into high gear and he created his business MyGrett Associates, where he developed the Super-Saver coupon book which promoted major attractions in and around Niagara Falls. His dependability, honesty, reliability and hands-on approach garnered him tremendous respect with his clients. John’s greatest love of all was his family, followed closely by the Buffalo Bills, the Bluejays and his golf game.
Generous beyond words, thanks for the memories JB, love you too.
