Obituary of Susan Adamson
Susan Adamson (nee Morton) passed away peacefully at Port Colborne Hospital on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Stephen. Susan was a wonderful mother to Simon (Michelle) and Shona (Ben) and doting Nana to Sage, Sawyer and Alice. She is missed dearly by her sister Irene McGarrigle, sister-in-law Thelma Turner and predeceased by her sister Jean Morton and brothers-in-law Ken McGarrigle and Ray Turner.
Born in the town of Sunniside in the Northeast of England, Susan worked and raised her children in Gateshead. She came to Canada and made Fort Erie her permanent home in 1992. She was a caring soul and a lover of reading, music, travel, walking and Manchester United. She found great joy in caring for her own children and grandchildren, as well as those of many friends after coming to Canada.
Arrangements entrusted to Benner Funeral Services. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11 am. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Erie. Condolences may be offered at www.bennerfuneralservices.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada are appreciated.
