Obituary of Barbara Brown
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Emilie Brown on Jan 22nd 2024. Barbara is now reunited with her husband Thomas (1998) and her parents Emilie Szczechowski and Leo Stack. Barbara is survived by her loving children, David (Yvette), Becky (Herb Havill), Beth (Matt Lewis), Tommy (Heather) and grandchildren Michael (Clover), Tommy Jr, Johnny and Matthew.
Mom loved her house where she lived for 55 years. She enjoyed building and collecting dollhouse miniatures, gathering seashells along the beach and needless to say, all things cats. These treasures filled her home and gave her such happiness. She took great pleasure doing cross stitch and her pictures adorned the walls of both her home and Garrison Place. She had a passion for flowers and would plant them anywhere in the yard. Anyone who lived in Crescent Park knew how she loved to weed the yard, which she could do for hours on end.
Tommy started a tradition years ago of bringing her coffee every morning and David so graciously followed in his footsteps. Mom looked forward to the morning visits as it was the highlight of her day.
The family would like to thank the March of Dimes, who helped our Mom for years. The ladies who have a heart of gold were always understanding, considerate and so very patient with her.
The family would also like to thank the staff and volunteers at Garrison Place. Everyone was so compassionate, kind and thoughtful. They truly care about the residents who live there. Visitation will be held at Benner Funeral Services, on Monday January 29, 2024 from 5 - 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Fort Erie, Tuesday morning at 11.
