Obituary of Janet Pierce

 

 

Pierce, Janet Elizabeth (nee Lowe)

 

August 15th, 1949- December 30th, 2023

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Pierce. After a brief struggle with brain cancer, she was unable to recover from surgery and passed peacefully in hospital in Niagara Falls. She was surrounded by family and close friends during this time. We are grateful for all the care she was offered by the staff at the several institutions she attended during this period.

Janet,aka Nana is survived by her family: Sara (daughter), Jon, Nico and Gavin Acheson, Guy (son), Dee, Christopher and Alex Pierce. Doug Lowe (brother), Tracy Wales, and by many, many very close friends that were like family to her.

The name Janet means ‘a gift’ and she was that and more to everyone who met her. She will be greatly missed, but is now at peace and is reunited in spirit with the love of her life, Bob Aindow and with her parents, Douglas Lowe and Lois Lowe (nee Connor).

 

Cremation has already taken place.

 

A celebration of life will be Sunday March 24, 1-5pm with dedications at 130pm. at the Fort Erie Conservation Club.
