In Loving Memory of the World's Best Grandma
Our hearts are heavy and profoundly saddened by the passing of the world's best Grandma. Leona Vivian Seeley, left us on the 16th of December, 2023, at Maple Park Lodge. She departed this world surrounded by love, leaving a legacy of warmth, kindness, and enduring affection that will forever be etched in our hearts.
Vivian Seeley was born on August 10th, 1929, and spent most of her life in Fort Erie, where she developed the remarkable qualities that endeared her to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a beacon of love and compassion, and her unwavering support was the cornerstone of her family's strength.
She was a devoted wife to the love of her life William Seeley who is predeceased, a mother to Jim Seeley, a wonderful sibling to brother Jim LeJeune, and sister Marilyn “TeTe” Scott, and grandmother to Corey Seeley and Jesse (Rachel) Seeley, great-grandmother to Shailyn Seeley, Myah Seeley, and Emilia Seeley, and many friends. Vivian enriched the lives of those around her with her infectious laughter, sage advice, and boundless love. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality to many. Family was paramount to Vivian, and she took great joy in nurturing and guiding each generation.
In addition to her family, Vivian was an active member of her community, as she was a familiar face at the Royal Canadian Legion, a secretary at Garrison Road Public School, and volunteered at Douglas Memorial Hospital. Vivian faced life's challenges with resilience and a smile that could brighten the darkest days for all who shared time with her.
As we mourn the loss of the world's best grandma, let us celebrate her extraordinary life and the profound impact she had on those who knew her. Vivian will be deeply missed, but never forgotten, as her spirit lives on in the love she shared and the memories she created.
A memorial service to honour and remember Vivian will take place on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023, at 1 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion at 130 Garrison Road, Fort Erie.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
