I have fond childhood memories of my Dad taking me to Spears Garage when I was young. Mr. Spear was always so kind and would give me candy from the candy machine. My condolences to the Family.

My condolences go out to Elsie and her family. Dave was a dear friend and colleague who I admired. He was a value-based caring leader who gave 150% in everything he did. He was also an outstanding teacher and educator, who would always share his knowledge and expertise to help others. When I go back to visit the automotive building at Niagara College, I see his footprint everywhere and so many other things he accomplished in raising the profile and importance of apprenticeship training here in Niagara and beyond. So many fond memories of Saundra and I, Dave and Elsie.

to Elsie, David, Ellen, Heather and families,
Dave’s earthly life is finished. His last assignment was excruciatingly difficult…
However he fought the good fight of faith and valiantly finished his course!
He has entered the joy of the Lord and will receive his crown of righteousness!
Well done…good and FAITHFUL SERVANT!
Psalm 116:15
Prayerfully
blessings to you all in every way
Henry and Nelly (Dave called me Teach)

Elsie, Dave, Ellen, and Heather:
Please accept our condolences on Dave's passing. It was my pleasure to meet and work with Dave in his position as program co-ordinator and then as a professor at Niagara. Then as an employee at Spear's and ultimately he asked me to join as an instructor at Niagara. His vast knowledge of all things automotive was astounding. I am proud to say I learned a lot from him about the automotive trade- not just the hands-on, but the people and business aspects as well. His contribution to the success of Niagara's Apprenticeship programs is immeasurable, as well as his input for the curriculum all over Ontario.
While his suffering is over, please know that he will be missed by all who knew him.
We will be out of town on Friday and Saturday so will be unable to pay our respects in person, but we will be there in spirit.
Tom and Sylvia Little
