Obituary of Leo Favero

Favero : Leo

It is with great sadness that the family of Leo Favero announce his passing on April 21, 2023 in his ninetieth year. Leo will be lovingly remembered by his children Lisa Untersberger (Mike), Dan Favero and David Favero (Sherwin Cabotaje). His memory lives with his grandchildren Katie Tackaberry (Andrew), Alexander Untersberger, Sarah Favero and Amber Favero as well as siblings Laura Gideon and Larry Favero (Dianne) and all the extended family both here and in Italy. He will be remembered fondly by his many friends. Predeceased by his sister Leona.  Special thanks to all the family members and friends, nurses, psw, doctors and physiotherapists including Dr. Csanadi, Peggy and Tammy who took good care of Leo while he courageously and graciously battled this relentless disease of cancer. Leo was born May 25, 1933 in Porcupine, Ontario but spent most of his life in Fort Erie where he met the love of his life Linda who he is now reunited with.

Leo played hockey, baseball and golf. He always had a passion for cars and all through his life there were many in the driveway including his 1959 Desoto. He worked for Consumers Gas Company for 30 years as a salesman then continued to follow his entrepreneurial spirit in many ways. He enjoyed his retirement years travelling with family and friends and gathering with Linda for “dinner group” parties for 40 years. Leo loved life and the people in his life to the fullest. Family meant everything to him. We will all miss him greatly.
