April 14, 1955 - April 2, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Samuel on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the Douglas Memorial Hospital, just shy of his 68th birthday. It brings us much comfort knowing he is reunited with his sweetheart and wife, Angela Brooks (2018). He will be sadly missed by his children, Darryl Smith of Niagara Falls, Billy Smith of Fort Erie, Dawn Tebow of Niagara Falls and Tanya Tebow of Welland. Proud grandpa of Brandon Romeril, Billy Tebow, Hope Brousseau, Christian Brousseau, Austin Smith and Zachary Smith. Survived by his siblings, Myrtle Matthews, Douglas Brooks and Alvin Brooks. Samuel was surrounded by so much love from his extended family, nieces and nephews and was a lucky man to have the friends he had, especially William Parton.  Waiting to greet him on the other side are his parents, Bessy and Alfred as well as many of his siblings.

Enjoy spending your days fishing on the greatest of lakes, we all miss you down here. 

Visitation will be held at Benner Funeral Services, Fort Erie, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 5-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Benner Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:00AM. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, donations in Samuel's memory may be made to the Douglas Memorial Hospital- Palliative Care Unit.
