BONGERS: Donna (Dwyer)

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and nana at the age of 63 years on October 21, 2022 in the presence of her loving husband, sons and daughter-in-law Angie. Loving wife and best friend of 42 years to John Bongers. Devoted mother of Gerry (Angie) and John Jr. Cherished Nana of her precious grandson Carter, her little sweetheart. Donna is survived by her sister Linda Fanstone (Frank predeceased), brother Richard (Marlene), sister Sandra and brother Randy all of Niagara Falls. She is survived by her brother-in-law Gerry of Markstay, Rick of Cambridge and sister-in-law Angel (Mark Pirs) of Markstay along with many nieces and nephews. Donna is predeceased by her mother and father Raymond and Ann Dwyer and her in-laws Gerard and Emma Bongers. Special thanks to her dear friends Carole Eady and Janet Cunneyworth for all their love and support. Mom fought a long hard battle with cancer and is now soaring with the angels watching over us much like she did in life and dancing to her favourite Oldies music. Our family will miss her passion for life and her quick wit. Despite her failing health Mom displayed overwhelming pride with her flower gardens that created a park like setting throughout her yard. To quote the words of her beloved grandson Carter at the end of every visit with our mom “Bye Nana Honey”. As per Donna’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of this wonderful lady’s life is planned for a later date. Fond memories and condolences may be shared below.
