I only had the pleasure to meet Dan at occasional family get togethers over the past decade. I thoroughly enjoyed my chats with him and always looked forward to seeing him and Andrèe. He struck me as such a passionate, decent, honest human being with a great moral compass. The world needs more human beings like Dan; and for that reason alone, his passing is a great loss. For anyone fortunate enough to know Dan, he will be remembered and missed. My deepest condolences to Andrèe and Pat.

I am so sorry to hear this. Dan welcomed me in 1976 when I transferred from Saskatchewan to RCMP SS HQ when I had seven years service. He was always there to provide guidance and support. And he was the first guy to congratulate me when I was promoted to Corporal. He was a great story teller, often related to his flying, and, along with his brother Craig, someone I considered a friend. Rest In Peace Dan.
