So sorry to hear this news. Dave taught me math at Ridgeway High School, he was always very accessible if you needed help and he was always interested after graduation if he saw you, how things were going. He will be greatly missed.

We'd like to offer our deepest condolences to the Hutton family. As fellow Findlay Crescent residents, Dave was a great neighbor, always willing to share his pool with the neighborhood kids, and was kind enough to include me in the daily car ride to RCBHS. Thanks, Dave, for Everything!

It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing of David. He was an excellent teacher, mentor and friend for so many years at Ridgeway High School.
As a teacher I always felt that Dave instilled in his department a love for Mathematics and a desire for our students to be the best that they could be. We also knew that he was always there for us when things got difficult.
You can tell a lot about a person when you get to work with their children. Over the years at the school, we came to know all four of them and without a doubt knew that they had been raised by parents who were caring and always there to help them make wise decisions. Dave was a father who loved and was so proud of his "kids."
I remember playing hockey with Dave and other teachers. I could never figure out how he did things so naturally while some of us struggled a bit. However, Dave was always there to encourage and share tips on the finer aspects of the sport.
There have been many years since we shared the halls of Ridgeway High together. While moving away from Fort Erie to the north has brought many advantages, there are certainly regrets at having moved on from the people who were so instrumental in our lives at one time. Dave was a wonderful person and I'm proud to say that for so many years we were able to work together in making mathematics something that was indeed "intuitively obvious." Barbara, I know that both you and Dave had a strong faith. I pray that your faith will carry you through these difficult times. Be strong in the many beautiful memories that you made together.

Karen and family,
I will forever remember the support Mr. Hutton gave during my struggles with math in high school. I also remember his kindness and the interest he took in my life while paying my respects at the funeral of another Ridgeway Crystal Beach teacher. I always felt he continued to support his former students when he was able and took a genuine interest in their lives. He will forever be in the hearts of many former students as he made such a wonderful impact upon young peoples' lives. I do hope the grief of his loss turns into cherished memories soon for you all.

My sincere condolences to all of Mr. Hutton's family, colleagues, and friends. He was a renowned educator to myself and many at Ridgeway-Crystal Beach High School during the 1970's. Not just in Mathematics, but as an instructor in life and preparedness for the future, he always conveyed to
us in his unique way how to reason sensibly, and that it was indeed "intuitively obvious" once we
were clued-in. One of the pillars of our educational experience and our fond memories of Ridgeway, his methods and character were exemplary.

Barb and family,
Vince and I send our deepest condolences on the passing of Dave. Both Barb and Dave took me under their wings when I first started teaching at RCBHS in 1990. They were very supportive of me during the early days of my teaching career. I will always remember the kind words of encouragement and the stories shared. Dave was always super proud of his kids and grand-kids.
Remember the great times shared and this will comfort you the days ahead.
Fondly,
Annie Mercier-Beaudoin
