Francis Gordon
Passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday August 14th, 2022 at at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. He was 98. Born June 13, 1924 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
He was beloved husband of Sarah "nee Todd" (2006) for 58 years. Dearly loved father of Alan (Vanna) Gordon, Dianne (Daniel) Lillie, Ron (Jill) Gordon.
Cherished Grandfather and Great Grandfather of Ashley (Jamie) Hannah & Noah Brock, and Grant Gordon.
Treasured Grandfather of Jennifer (Loren) and Christopher Lillie, Andrew, Rachel and Kerry Gordon.
Survived by brother-in-law Desmond (Pat) Todd.
He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews in Canada and Northern Ireland. He was predeceased by his parents George and Edith and siblings George, Margaret, Robert, Edith, Andy, Billy and David.
Frank served as an Airframe Fitter in the R.A.F. for 8 years. He was employed at Short Brothers, Foxes, and Belfast power station before coming to Canada in 1967. He was a millwright 20 years at GM.
He loved spending time with his family. He was a long-time member of St. Andrews-Knox Presbyterian Church where he loved singing in the choir.
Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive family and friends on Friday August 19th from 11 am until the time of services in the chapel at 1 pm. Interment to follow in McAffee Cemetery. If so desired, donations to C.O.P.E. or St. Andrew’s Knox Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
