Lived a few houses from Doris and Jack. When I was a teenager Jack told my father that I was built like a cop… later, when my father told me that he said that was the first time I had even considered it as a profession. I have been in policing for over 30 years now thanks to him.

We knew Uncle Jack as a kind, helpful and humble man. He was always a pleasure to talk to and always amazed us with his knowledge of current events and the Blue Jays. (Even at our visit earlier this year.)
Jack and Doris were always willing to host family at their lovely condo in Florida. Jack seemed to really enjoy his time on the golf course there. While rarely mentioning his war experiences when he was younger, more recently the stories have come to light showing his bravery and service to Canada. Rest in peace Uncle Jack. The following is link to a recent news article about Jack.
