Obituary of Ada Anita Cazzolato
CAZZOLATO: Ada
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ada Cazzolato. Surrounded by her loving family at Maple Park Lodge on Friday, December 10, 2021, in her 98th year, loving mother of Vally and her husband Earl Mehlenbacher and Nancy and her husband Michael Page, cherished Noni of Craig (Nicole) Mehlenbacher, Carrie (Dan) Lalli, Kimberly (Dave) Howell, and Michael Mehlenbacher and Great Noni of Ethan, Owen, Alyssa, Hunter, Raquel, and Justin.
Ada came to Canada in 1952 from Altivole, Treviso, Italy and settled in Fort Erie with her husband Angelo. She will be remembered and missed for her loving character, kind heart, greeting everyone with a big smile, hugs, kisses and of course something to eat. Anyone who knew her could not deny the incredible love and dedication she had to her family. She loved gardening and supplied the entire family every summer with the best of fresh vegetables.
Special thanks to Dr. Scher for the many home visits and care and to the PSW’s that came and helped care for Ada.
Friends will be received at the Fort Erie Chapel of the Benner Funeral Home, 1105 Benner Road, on Friday December 17, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church on Saturday December 18, at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal will follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
