Obituary of Darlene Hazlett
HAZLETT: Darlene Sharon- Peacefully with her family by her side after a hard-fought battle on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in her 74th year. Predeceased by her parents Ross and Aileen Riddell. Loving wife of the late Blaine Hazlett. Loving mother to Christopher (Anna) Hazlett and Jennifer (Jay Cooper) Hazlett. Cherished grandma to Jordan (Vivian), Amanda, Dylan, Noah and Kristen. Dear sister of Patti (Brent) Mazelow, Donna (Doug) Martin, Cheryl Post (Finnie Mac Innis), Ross (Joanne) Riddell, Holly (Glenn) MacDonald, Mary (Mark) Anderson, Sisters-in-law Marilyn Hazlett, Shari Hazlett as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law Gary Post, Bill Hazlett, Jim Hazlett, Bryce Hazlett and niece Katie. Darlene was past president of the Big Brother-Big Sisters of South Niagara Fort Erie Chapter, Regional councillor for the Town of Fort Erie as well as a respected business women and a School Board Trustee with the Welland County Catholic School Board. Darlene touched so many lives in so many ways and it didn’t matter how you came into her life. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. at Benner Funeral Home, 1105 Benner Avenue, Fort Erie on Friday, November 26, 2021 with a service in the chapel at Noon.
