Jackie passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Sunday October 10th, 2021 at the age of 84. Loving wife for over 65 years to Ray. Proud mother of Raymond (Sandy), Gail (David) Ariss and Matthew O’Grady. Loving grandmother of Tara, Michael, Jessica, Sean, Shana and Kenny. She is fondly remembered by her son in law Wayne Thomson, 2 brothers and a sister as well as her large extended family. Predeceased by her daughter Connie and daughter in law Gloria.
In addition to her love and commitment to her family, she was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church where she was active in the CWL and service in the kitchen. A volunteer within the community she received her 40 year service pin with the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and often assisted with Meals on Wheels.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. Friends and family will visit on Monday from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock. If so desired, donations to the Douglas Memorial Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family. Covid 19 protocols in place during visiting and service. Masks and social distancing mandatory and capacity limits will be observed.
