We are heartbroken at the loss of a wonderful soul, who passed suddenly at home on September 4th, 2021 at the age of 68. Loving husband of Kat (Kathleen) Leonard-Teal. His proud children Krista (Chris) Hartman and Julie Teal and step-daughter Rebecca Gregoire will remind his grandchildren Sarah, Andrew, Cameron, Kenneth and Aurora just how much they were adored by their Papa. Sadly missed by his mother Anna Longaphie, his siblings Howie (Pauline) Longaphie, Michael (Julie) Longaphie and his brother in life Fred Jacobi. Also survived by his many friends, nieces and nephews and his fur family Harley, Tapanga and the late Bart.
You might have called him Turk, or Jimmy, played golf with him on one of his countless trips to Myrtle Beach or at courses throughout the Niagara Region or maybe you worked alongside him at Rich Products over the last 46 years. Regardless of how or where you knew him from, you knew a loving, caring person who would always go that extra mile for those he cared about.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. We will celebrate Jim's life in a manner he would have wanted. Monday September 20th from 3-5, his family and friends are invited to Rolling Meadow's Golf Club. Let's raise a glass, have something to eat, share stories and remember a wonderful human being. In the spirit of the celebration, please do not wear black, be colourful, wear your golf attire, be happy, Jim would have wanted it that way.
