Obituary of Leslie George Stevens

Leslie (Les) George Stevens January 31, 1942 – July 26, 2021.

Les’ family announce, with profound sadness, his passing, in the Palliative Care Unit, at Douglas Memorial Hospital, following a brief, but noble struggle with cancer, on July 26, 2021. Loving Husband of the late Nancy Stevens (nee Beattie) (2008). Proud Father of his sons Christopher, and Glenn, both of whom will miss him dearly.   Les was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, and retired from a career in sales, and marketing, having last worked for Waste Management of North America, in the Niagara Region. He enjoyed a fine cup of coffee, a cigar, and a lively debate with his “Coffee Club,” crew, on Sunday mornings.  Les was a passionate fan of Notre Dame College Football, and an unwavering viewer of the Golf Channel.  Family and friends are invited to join us in a Celebration of Life on Saturday July 31, at 1 pm, at Bridgewater Country Club, Fort Erie, ON.  If so desired, donations may be made to The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation (Toronto), or The Hospice Niagara Capital Fund.
