Obituary of Vittoria Cox

Cox, Victoria Elena (1935-2020) Her beautiful soul entered eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday December 29th 2020. Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Jack Cox Sr. Devoted mother to their five children Jack (Carmela) Cox Jr., Derek (Danielle) Cox, Randy (Cathy) Cox, Terry (Nancy) Cox, and Roxanne (Darryl) Giambra. Dearest grandma to John (Karyne) Cox, Jaclyn (Patrick) Raymond, Steven (Katia) Cox, Mackenzie Cox, Charissa Cox, Nicole (Mike) McQueen, Allan (Jessie) Cox, Joelle Giambra, Siobhan (Jason) Crumley, Avery (Carson) Cox and Ashton Cox. Dear great grandma to Sarah, Emma, Payton, Kensi, Kian, Jake, Kayce, Sophie and Ava. Cherished sister-in-law Nancy (Ken) Magnus. Predeceased by her parents Bartholomew “Bart” and Barbara Faiazza. Her seven siblings Florence (Stanley) Prystawski, Peter Faiazza, Madeline Faiazza, Joanne (Chris) Columbus, Mary (Donald) Graham, Deanna (John) Schoenwald, Barbara (James) Wilkie and her in -laws Ted and Eva Cox. Vicki was born and raised in Crystal Beach, Ontario, where she enjoyed working summers at Crystal Beach Park and dancing the night away with her sisters at the Crystal Beach Ballroom, the dance hall days. Her door was always open to everyone, where they were always met with a big smile. Vicki loved gardening, music and of course cooking! You were always fed well whenever you were at the Cox home. Vicki was such a kind gentle lady who loved her family and friends. The house was always filled with love and laughter, celebrating many Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc. Vicki will also be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Vicki lived her adult life in Fort Erie, Ontario and she was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 71. A special thank you to Dr. Scher and Dr. Kim for their excellent care and compassion, and to the staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital Palliative Care. Also thank you to the wonderful caring PSW’s from Paramed and nurses from Saint Elizabeth’s. All of you were so kind, compassionate and caring to Vicki.
