Obituary of Frances Della York

Frances Della York March 15, 1936 - December 4, 2020 It is with great sadness and broken hearts the family announce the passing of our wife and mother Frances York. She passed peacefully and surrounded with love at Douglas Memorial Hospital on Friday December 4, 2020 at the age of 84. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Earl York, her loving son Gary York, her loving daughters Debi (Mark) Horne, Tami (John) Rehm, and her adoring grandchildren Katelyn Horne and Scott (Daria) Horne, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Jessie Adams, her brothers Robert Adams, Joe(late Mary) Adams, Jay (late Marge) Adams, Howard Adams, her sisters Marjorie Adams, Thelma Adams, Cora (late Dick) Watts, and Isabelle (late Bill) Bodner. She is survived by her sister Ruth (late Chuck) Coulthurst and sister-in-law Shirley Adams. Fran loved her Toronto Maple Leafs and loved to bake, her pies were the best ever! She was truly an amazing, loving, kind woman who found the most joy doting on her family. Fran was a homemaker but wore many hats in that role. Above all else, she loved her family and would do anything to help in any way she could. Her kindness and gentle nature is what everyone will remember when they think of her, the world would definitely be a better place if we had more ``Frans`` in it. We were blessed with a beautiful wife and mom and she will live on forever in our hearts. Our deepest gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Scher and the wonderful PSW`s, nurses and food servers at DMH. In honoring her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later time. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, Fort Erie, Ontario.
