Chevalier, Albert R. “Al“ September 11, 1927 - November 16, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Al on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the age of 93. Al is now reunited with his parents Albert and Winnie (Kingston, ON) and his beloved son Randy. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 73 caring years, Marjorie (nee Haylock). Proud father to his sons Michael (Patty), David (Barb) and Marc (Carolyn). Al was an adoring grandfather to Nicholas (Carrie), Christopher (Brianna), Carly (Tim), Patrick, Colin, Burke (Sarah), Cris (Jacalyn), and Nick (Mary) and great-grandfather to his precious great-grandchildren Connor, MacKenzie, Keaton, Rachel, Renee, Myah, Hannah and Margot. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his sister Yvonne, brother-in-law Don (Iona), and sister-in-law Mary, all of Kingston, ON. Al was past president and life member of the Fort Erie Lions Club, past president of the Fort Erie YMCA, member of the Fort Erie Legion Branch 71, and he was also inducted (2017) to the Fort Erie Sports Wall of Fame. However, his true passion was being granted Life Membership with the Fort Erie 337 Air Cadet Squadron, of which he served over 42 years. Many thanks to Dr. Scher and the nursing staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital for your sincere compassion and outstanding care provided to Al. If desired, donations in memory of Al, can be made to the Fort Erie 337 Air Cadet Squadron or the Fort Erie Legion Branch 71. Arrangements are entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, Fort Erie. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.bennerfuneralservices.ca Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.
