Obituary of Linda Smith

Linda Smith 1946-2020 After a courageous three month battle with cancer, Linda is at peace. She is sadly missed by her husband Gary, her daughters Lee Ann (Chris Bouchard) and Danyel (Toby Woods), Step-Children Heidi ( Chris Bucknam) and Gary Jr. (Marcela). Greatly missed by her grandchildren Braedon, Olivia, Greysen, Elijah and Anna. Also by sisters Barb (Bruce Ahrens) and Beverly (Warren Rutty,) along with their families. Linda was a driven woman with a generous heart, and friends will remember her one of a kind laugh. She loved interior design, horses, travel, and kept a beautiful yard and garden. She had an incredible eye for detail- her organizational skills will be much appreciated by the "Big Guy" up there. Linda was a hard worker, holding many diverse jobs throughout her career, including 911 operator, Home Depot, relines at stores, dental office, Glen Abbey Golf course, LCBO Hamilton, and most recently, handled the business end of Gary's music career. Many thanks to her dear friends who visited the hospitals, sharing their uplifting stories of their love for Linda, and all the ways she's touched their lives. Please know that it truly brightened her days. Much appreciation to Gary and Linda's neighbours and friends for their outpouring of support, meals, and assistance. At Linda's request, a June sixth celebration of life and rock and roll will be held at her home in Ridgeway. Bring your dancing shoes!
