Stefano passed suddenly, but peacefully at the Gilmore Lodge on September 23rd 2019. Born August 5, 1924 in Italy, he was 95 years old. He joins his wife of over 70 years Leonarda “Mimi” in heaven.
He was the proud father of Domenic (Patricia) and his family: grandchildren Steven (Tiffany), Karla (John) and Michael (Yasmine) and great grandchildren Dominika, Fiona, Phoebe and Louciano. Forever in the heart of his daughter Ninfa (Guy) and her family: grandchildren, Frank (Alie), Steve (Sabrina) and Melissa (Oscar). Also survived by extended family that includes many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1955, Stefano served in WWII. He brought to Canada his generous and giving spirit, sharing that with others that he sponsored and supported throughout his life. In addition to his family, he had many loves, his dog, hunting and especially wrestling where his enthusiasm would sometimes get him in trouble. A hardworking man, he enjoyed wine making, gardening and traveling to Italy and Vegas. He was employed with Canada Post and Niagara Parks.
Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements.
The family will recieve friends on Friday September 27th from 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11 o'clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family express their appreciation for the care provided to Stefano by the wonderful staff of Gilmore Lodge.
