Charles Worden
Worden : Charles Joseph After a brief illness Charles passed away at the Welland County General Hospital on Tuesday February 5th at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife Donna (nee Henningham) . He leaves his sons Charles and David (Cynthia White-Worden) with wonderful memories. He lives on in the hearts of grandchildren Jon and Caroline. Also survived by his brother Edward Worden and his cherished friend Ginny Doan. Charles was an active member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, a veteran of the U.S.Navy and a member of the Palmer Masonic Lodge 372 A.F. & A.M. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Sunday February 10th from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted at St. Paul's Anglican Church on Monday at 11 am with interment in the cemetery columbarium followed by a reception in the hall. If so desired, donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
Eliseyah George-Isaacs
GEORGE-ISAACS, Eliseyah May - January 7, 2005-February 1, 2019 Suddenly on February 1, 2019 in her 15th year Eliseyah went to be with her heavenly Father. Beloved daughter of Stefanie George and Shawn Isaacs; loving twin sister of Eleeyah and adored by her brothers, Austin (Sara), Shawn Jr and baby sister, Emeelia. Cherished granddaughter of Wanita (Martin) Sault, David George and Arlene Isaacs. Uncles Philip (Lisa), Adam, Caleb (Alexandra), Kevin (Alysia); Aunts Lela/Yeyatalunyuhe (Jordon), Rebecca (Frank), Jenny (Lou) and Aunt Amanda, Darlene Isaacs, Judy (Oren). She was a loving Auntie of baby Elsie Cotter-Isaacs. Loved by many great aunties and uncles, cousins and friends. Eliseyah loved music, singing, and fishing with her cousins. She loved people and would help at the monthly soup kitchen when she could. She loved spending weekends with her dad and bb sister, and having movie marathons. Her goal was to be a lawyer and go to Harvard. We were so blessed to have her for these 14 years. Though are hearts are heavy we know we will see her again. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES has been entrusted with arrangements. Family visitation will be held on Wednesday February 6th from 2-4 and community family and friends from 6-9 p.m. at Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie. A Celebration of Eliseyah's Life will take place on Thursday February 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Victory (Light City) Church, 549 Garrison Rd, Fort Erie. Bring your best memories to share. If you have Regalia, please wear it prepare to celebrate a beautiful angel. Following the service, all are welcome to a community lunch at the Fort Erie Native Centre, Buffalo Road. Yvonne Hamilton
HAMILTON, Yvonne - Passed away peacefully at the Douglas Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, on February 2, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved wife for 63 years to Douglas Hamilton. Dearly loved mother of Lynn Curtis (Mike) of Fort Erie and Maryjane Dickie (John) of Brantford. Proud grandmother of Shannon Elgert (Ryan) of B.C. and Kaitlyn Dickie of Brantford. Great grandmother to Brighten and Vada Elgert of B.C. Survived by one brother Robert Strobbe of London, ON. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. McHugh, Beatrice C. - Bea passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her loving husband, Bruce of 64 years. Proud mother of Audrey Roos and Wendy (Michael) Rutherford. Grandchildren Jonathon (Jessica) Summers, Daniel (Alison) Rutherford, Jason (Haley) Roos, David (Hillary) Rutherford and Jeffrey Roos have wonderful memories of their grandmother and will cherish them forever. Forever in the heart of her great granddaughter Olivia Roos. She will be greatly missed by her sister Joan, niece Susan (Jim) and her wonderful neighbours Janet, Chris, Evan and Ingrid. Helen Forbes
Forbes, Helen Margaret (Alford) January 28, 1918 - January 28, 2019 passed away peacefully on her 101st birthday. Wife of the late George (Judd) Forbes (2002). Beloved mother of Judy Walker (Dan), Jean Heximer (Wayne) and Kathy Quiquero (Jack). Much loved Nana to her grandchildren, Susan (Mike), Jamie (Anette), Kristin (Mike), Kevin (Amy), Lisa (Brian), Jacqueline (Gary) and her great-grandchildren Ethan, Ashley, Brennan, Adelyn, Lily, Grace and Jacob. Pre-deceased by her parents Amherst and Eva Alford and her five siblings. Helen had many interests and leaves a legacy to her children and grandchildren: her love of socializing with her many friends, travel, swimming and golf, crafts and sewing and especially music. She loved not only her family but the many caregivers at Maple Park Lodge and Willoughby Manor. As per Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place with a celebration of life to follow at a later date. Joan Horner
Horner: Joan Marie Joan passed in away in her 87th year surrounded by her family on Friday, January 25th 2019 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Loving wife of Doug. Cherished mother of Barbara, Scott (Mary), Barry (Cathy Yandeau) and Sandra (Marc Yasko). Always in the hearts of her grandchildren Joe Schneider, Amanda Horner, Jaime Moses, Sean Horner, Blake Barkley, and Jennifer Horner as well as her great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Claudia(Bud) Beach and her extended family. Predeceased by her son-in-law David Cook, her sister Lynn, and brother Don. A special thank you to Dr Qawi, Emily and the nursing staff at the Walker Clinic. Private family Services will take place.
Dennis Malone
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Vincent Malone (Dec 5 1935), of Ridgeway, Ontario. Dennis, after battling cancer and it's associated complications, passed peacefully and painlessly, surrounded by family, just after 9:00 p.m. on Jan 24 2019 at Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie, ON. He was 83. Father of Larry, Cathy, Debbie, Bonnie (Brad), Ronnie, Sharon (Darren), Terry (Josie), June (Terry), Dennis (Sarah), Jean (Rick). He was a joyful and inspirational mentor, grandfather and great grandfather to many. He also leaves behind his dear friend, Cathy. His love of music, animals and spirited conversation filled many days and nights in the company of his loved ones, and his knowledge and wisdom has been passed down through all generations. He was predeceased by June(1969), Pat(2014), and a grandson, Johnathan(1989). As we wish him a gentle journey into the night, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Fort Erie SPCA. In accordance with his wishes, Dennis' remains will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will take place at a future date
Jean Fretz
FRETZ, Jean Elizabeth (Bitner) b. April 9, 1931 - It is with great sadness, the Fretz family announces Jean passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Maple Park Lodge in her 88th year. Cherished and beloved wife of Howard (Jr.) for 68 years. Loving Mother to Lista (Ed), David, Tim (Carol), Lorna (Rick) and Michael (Lisa). Treasured Grandma and Meema of Steven (Theresa), Sarah (Jay), Laura (Andrew), Emily (Jerick), Meredith (David), Jared, Brenda, (Allan), Erin (Mike) and Bonnie. Jean was also blessed with 13 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great Great-Grandchild. Jean was the dear sister-in-law of Kay Steckley, Lester (Mary) Fretz, Lamar (Eileen) Fretz, Hubert (Bev) Fretz and Kenny (Jill) Fretz. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her parents Mary and Joseph Bitner. Also pre-deceased by her siblings, Shirley Bitner, Ethel Hayslip, and Eldon Bitner. The family would like to thank Dr. Che and a special thanks to all the staff at Maple Park Lodge for all their love, care and compassion shown to Jean and the family.
