Obituary of George Johnston

George passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on January 18th, 2016. Survived by his wife Margaret. Loving father of David (Dana), Valerie (Markus) Walser, Brian (Lisa), Andrea (John) Brocato. Proud grandfather of Eric, Sara, Nicole, Adam, Drew, Emily, Thomas, Michael and Jonathan. Cherished brother of Betty Rae (Bud) Taylor and cousins Gail and Marlene. He will be fondly remembered by his many dear friends. Predeceased by his granddaughter Julia. George was a proud family man who worked for Canada Customs for over 35 years. He was a long-time and proud member of Royal Canadian Legion Br. 71 Fort Erie. After retirement, he pursued his passion owning and working with racehorses. Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. A family service will be held on Saturday January 23rd followed by a time of celebration at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 71 at 3 o'clock.
