Obituary of Margaret George

George: Margaret RN (nee Yuhas) Margaret passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Maple Park Lodge Fort Erie on Sunday January 17th 2016 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Michael. Proud mother of Greg (Pam) George, Geoff (Luanna) George, Edward (Jennifer) Reid-George and the late Jennifer (Fred) Louws. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, Maggie, Andrew, Lauren, Erica, Vanessa, Megan and Jackson. Cherished sister of Anne (the late Joe) Kranics and lovingly remembered by the Kranics family as well as her friend and caregiver Tanya. Margaret started nursing in London at the St. Joseph's Hospital before moving to Fort Erie and a long career at the Douglas Memorial Hospital. She was a dedicated member of the community serving with the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the St. Michael's CWL and was a past Commissioner of the Niagara Parks Commission. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 19th from 7-9 and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9. Vigil prayers in the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30. Donald Lizzotti will celebrate the Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. If so desired, donations to St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund, the Alzheimer's Society or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
