In 1965-66 Nicholas Gruner was a 4th yr student at the Resurrection College Seminary (Resurrection Fathers) in Kitchener, Ontario & I was a "1st year". Fondly remember his as a humble man - a bit shy but certainly kindly. Fast forward to about 2014. I was attending a diaconal ordination of a relative in Rochester NY & on my way back home to the Albany area I encountered an entourage of about 12 people. Men in cassocks w/collars & women in the traditional habits of professed nuns. Somehow, someway... 45 or more years later, I recognized Nicholas Gruner. I approached him and said, "You must be Father Gruner" (I had heard & read of his ministry in several sources). From there we had a wonderful but somewhat brief conversation. I mentioned our prior association. He nodded though I don't think he made the connection at that moment. He was certainly gregarious & not shy as I previously remembered him. Still humble but charming & engaging in a reserved way. That is a chance encounter that I consider myself fortunate to have had. Deo gratias!

I never met him, but Fr. Gruner's deep and humble faith was so inspiring. God bless his soul; may he rest in peace. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

High light oh my life was finally meeting Fr.Nicholas Gruner ! In a place called The Holy Hill Pa. and in New York City a few years later I sat next to Fr. Gruner it was a miracle the way it happened! I had been for at least a supporter to Our Lady of Fatima than for 30 years , still am! A very pious Blessed Priest! JMJ Patricia Ann
