Yvonne and family, We are so sorry to hear of Herb's passing and even more sorry we were out of town for the service. I heard from many people it was a real tribute to his busy life. You know our history, he was the spark that saved the Race Track many times. He was such a good speaker and eloquent individual. I remember the many hours we spend together planning and preparing to get the casino to Fort Erie. We often shared a common feeling and words about the blue bloods from Toronto's Woodbine. I didn't see much of Herb after the Live Racing Program, however I was able to keep tract of him through the newspaper,'s he really knew how to get their attention. There is a HUGE void where Mr. Herb stood and I don't think anyone can fill it. We will keep him in our thoughts and prayers. I will alway remember that signature smile and voice.

Yvonne and Family...I was truly saddened to hear of the passing of Sr. at such a young age. I was fortunate to work with Herb back in the early nineties when FE racing was in a better place. Kudos to Herb for being a true champion and for his fight to keep the tradition alive. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Herb Jr., Bill and all the family at this time.
