Obituary of Maurice Gordon Cannon

Maurice Gordon (Moe) Cannon of Stevensville, aged 79 passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie on October 15, 2016. The Staff at Douglas Memorial could not have been any more compassionate to Moe and the family and our appreciation knows no bounds. Moe, Dad, Grandpa will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years Pat, his children David, Dawn (Tim Fountain) and Michael (Vanessa) as well as his 6 grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Kasey, Taylor, Riley and Erynn and brothers in law Bill Spencer and Dennis Spencer and their respective families. Moe was a long time employee of the Toronto School Board who retired to the Black Creek Senior Community. He was an ardent reader and avid pool player in the Community league right up until his passing. The foundation of our family is gone and words can not express how much we will miss him. A memorial gathering will occur on Saturday, October 22, 2016 between 1-3 pm at the Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Avenue, Fort Erie for all his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
