Obituary of Elvin Carl Richer

Richer: Elvin Carl Surrounded by his family, Elvin passed away at the Welland Hospital on Tuesday June 15th, 2010 in his 78th year. Cherished husband of Nancy. Proud father of Dave, Don (Laurie), Russ and Steve (Tracy). Loving grandfather of Ken (Amanda), Melissa (Chris Daudelin), Brad, Kevin, Stevie, Brooke and Charlotte and great grandfather of 5. Sadly missed by, his stepchildren, Laurie (Dave), Liz (Dan), John (Pearl), Michael (Sunny) and David and their families. Also survived by his sister Shirley (Leonard) Dokis. Predeceased by his first wife Carolyn and his brothers Angus and Irvin. Elvin was a member of Fort Erie Volunteer Fire Company #2 for over 20 years. Elvin will be remembered as avid fisherman and lover of the outdoors who enjoyed playing euchre with his friends. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-9. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Douglas Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
