Obituary of Cyril Hatcher

Hatcher, Cyril James

Cyril passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Sunday January 25th, 2026 at the age 75.  Father to Lisa (Brad) Bickell, Lorna (Peter) Conlin, Diana (Dan) Wolbert and Katy.  He was a proud grandfather to Dominic, Hayden, Adrianna, Brandon and Heather Anne.  He leaves behind siblings Danny, Cecil, Leah, Mary and Luella as well as a large extended family.

Cyril was born in Nova Scotia and moved to Fort Erie when he was 6 years old. A licensed millwright (local 1916), he found true enjoyment in continually learning.  Computers as well as other trades interested him and he found success in his efforts.  In his last days he reminded us of just how precious life is.

'Cause you're gonna miss this, you're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days, hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times, so take a good look around
You may not know it now, but you're gonna miss this

We have entrusted Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave. with arrangements.  Friends and family will visit on Thursday Feb 5th from 1-3 and 6-8.  If desired, donations to the Niagara Health Foundation (Kidney Care) would be appreciated by the family
