Obituary of Sandra Rempel

Sandra Rempel, age 86, a longtime citizen of Fort Erie, passed away peacefully on January 15 at Stirling Heights Long Term Care in Cambridge, Ontario.

Sandra spent many years working as a receptionist and office manager for dental practices, including those of Dr. Mewha, Dr. Mitchinson, and Dr. Ordinario, where she was respected for her professionalism, organization, and warm, welcoming manner.

She was a founding member of Trinity Lutheran Church, playing an important role in the life and growth of the congregation. Sandra was also a dedicated and compassionate member of the Douglas Memorial Palliative Care Unit, generously giving her time and care to support others.

Sandra was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Michael Rempel, to whom she was married for 44 years, and by her second husband, Robert Smalldon, with whom she shared 15 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Matthew.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: son Michael and his wife Gale (née Totten), daughter Lisa and her husband Thomas Neal, and son David and his wife Susan (née Bent). She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren Daniel, Adam, and Garrett, and by her great-grandchildren Henry and Annalise.

Sandra will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong faith, devotion to family, and lifelong commitment to caring for others.

Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements.  Family and friends will visit on Thursday January 22nd from 11:30 until the time of services in the Chapel at 1 o'clock.  Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
