Obituary of Josefina Celis

Josefina Celis (Advincula) was born in Manila, Philippines on November 19th, 1939. It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Josefina has gone to be with our Heavenly Father on November 20th, 2025 at the age of 86.

Josefina will be reunited with her beloved husband William Dunbar, mother Avelina Advincula (Fernandez), father Jose Advincula and siblings Aida, Bendicto, Margarita, Anna, Jesus, and Teodora.

Josefina is survived by her sister Felicitas (Jürgen) and brother Andres Advincula (Helen), children Loida (Keith) and Julius (Naomi), step-children Deanna and William (Sera), grandchildren Michael, Alan (Alyssa), Samantha, Christopher and Max (Liz), step-grandchildren Ryan, Junelle (Flynn), and Jordon, great-grandchildren Arlo, Aysia, and Rylee, and many more niece’s and nephew’s and extended family. 

Josefina will be remembered as a woman who was loving, giving and letting you know that she loves you. Josefina’s passions in life were gardening, cooking, entertaining guests and in her spare time, loved going to the casino. Josefina loved going out shopping and always looking for a good bargain. In her younger years she was in a bowling league with her husband. Josefina spent the majority of her working years at CTS and as a Real Estate Agent.

Josefina was very loving, giving and kind. She was also a true believer of our Lord. She had a small shrine in her home for praying. May her soul rest in peace.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be determined in the near future. Benner Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
