Obituary of Connie Weinmann
CONSTANCE PAULINE WEINMANN
May 5, 1935 – November 13, 2025
In her 91st year, Connie Weinmann passed over peacefully after several months’ illness. Holding her hand until her last breaths, constant in his love, was her devoted husband Dieter, with whom she’d shared a marriage of nearly 72 years.
Connie is survived by her daughters, Katharine and her husband Sig Guggenmoos of Sherwood Park, Alberta, and Terri, whose medical knowledge and care helped their parents navigate these past difficult months. Her granddaughter Amy and her husband Nicholas Galvez and their children Diego and Olivia, and grandson William and his wife Sarah Macleod and their children Clayton and Cameron will deeply miss their “Buddy”. Also mourning their sister’s passing are her brothers Paul and his wife Cathy of Arizona, and Jim and his partner Bill of Nevada.
With sorrow Connie’s family grieve her passing and are relieved she is no longer suffering. They hope she will be reunited with her mother Eleanor, whose passing in Connie’s very early life left an indelible mark. May she now be at peace.
The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Kim Scher for his care and attention, often going beyond. Too, the nursing staff of Douglas Memorial Hospital Palliative Care ensured Connie was comfortable in her last days.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 1:00 — 3:00 pm at Bridgewater Country Club, Fort Erie, Ontario.
