Obituary of Lina Mastrangelo
LINA MASTRANGELO
1929 – 2025
Lina Mastrangelo (née Nigro), at the age of 96, passed away on September 20, 2025, leaving her children, Armando and Felicia, broken-hearted but with wonderful memories of their beloved and most independent “Ma”.
Lina was preceded in death by her husband, Pasquale, brother, Michele Nigro, sister and brother-in-law, Teodora and Gabriele Bonito, brother-in-law, Domenico Di Nobile, sister-in-law, Andrea Nigro, nephew, Gino Di Nobile and son-in-law, Thomas Goulet.
Left to mourn her loss are her children, Dr. E. Armando Mastrangelo (Elizabeth), Felicia Goulet, grandsons, Armando (Claire) and Alex, great-granddaughter, Emilia, sister, Fernanda Di Nobile, brother, Armando Nigro and sister-in-law, Paola Nigro. Lina will also be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews, Lucia, Joseph, Rosanna, Marie, Louis and their families.
Lina was extremely proud of her 25 years of employment with Irvin Industries Canada. She did her job with perfection, retiring in 1994.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nishan Jayawardene and his support staff for their exceptional care of Lina. A sincere thank you to the entire Royal Henley Retirement Community. All of you contributed in making Lina’s final years happy and comfortable. She loved you all.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie, Ontario. Family will receive friends on Tuesday September 23, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 310 Central Ave., Fort Erie, Ontario, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery. A small reception will follow at Benner Funeral Services.
