Mary Lou passed away peacefully at the Douglas Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family, on September 12th, 2025.  She is reunited with her loving husband Bill.

Sadly missed by children Bob (Cathy) Rivet, Julie Ann Rivet and Scarlett Rivet who Bill and Mary Lou raised as their own. 

A loving grandmother to Melissa, Adam (Dena), Tricia (Ryan), Lindsey (Trent), Donald, Portia and Daniel as well as a great grandmother to Christian, Easton and Quin.  Predeceased by sons Donald and Brian Rivet.  

Many will remember Mary Lou from her time working in the laundry at Douglas Memorial Hospital 

Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. 

A service to celebrate her life will occur at the Windmill Point Church on September 25th at 11 am.

Mary Lou's faith and those that she worshipped with at Windmill Point were very important to her.  If you wish to contribute in her memory, please consider her church.
