Obituary of Margaret Booker

Margaret Leona Booker passed away peacefully at the Errinrung Long Term Care Facility on August 13, 2025, just shy of her 91st birthday. Margaret is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Grace Booker and brother Gordon Booker. She is survived by her sister in law Doris Booker and nieces and nephews Craig (Dianne), Carolyn (Dean), Levi, Grace, Abigail Cober, Karen (Dan) O’Connor, Thomas (Bailey), Robert and Henry Booker, Lynne (Martin) Taitt, Allen (Margit), Ethan and Melodie Booker, Melissa, Nicholas and Alexander Heroux and many cousins.

Margaret enjoyed teaching for 35 years in Wainfleet Township at William E. Brown and then at Winger. She was an avid gardener, loving to spend time in her very big vegetable garden every summer. Margaret was very involved with the Wainfleet Agricultural Society and the Wainfleet Historical Society for many years and many other organizations in the community. With great appreciation to the staff at Errinrung Retirement and Long-Term Care Facility in Thornbury.

Benner Funeral Services has been entrusted with the arrangements. Graveside Interment will be at Zion Cemetery in Wainfleet at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025 with a luncheon to follow at Wainfleet BIC Church.
