Dorothy Lois Stevenson Heron
It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Heron announce her passing on Jun 4, 2025 in her 81st year with her son by her side after a short courageous battle with cancer. Mom fought hard but in the end it was too much to bear.
Dorothy was married to the love of her life, Jim for 58 years and worked at Royal Bank for 35 years. Dorothy loved working at the bank and loved to help people. True to her word “Freedom 55” she retired at the age of 55. Dorothy was so proud of her retirement party at the Palmwood when it was standing room only with well over 350 people in attendance.
Dorothy loved being outside gardening and wearing her Daisy Dukes sitting by her pool with a Dorothy Pop in hand.
Dear mother to Michelle (Terry), Scott (Laura) and Lisa (Dave). She loved all her grandchildren, Tyler (Laura), Mataya, Weston, Max, Jett, Hudson and Cassie. And was so looking forward to being a great grandmother to Arthur.
Dorothy will be missed by so many, including her brother in law John (Charlotte), cousin Carol, neices, and nephews.
Dorothy loved her fur babies as well, including Rhea, Lexi, Buck Heron, Etta and Zach.
A special thanks to Dr.Csanadi, and Dr Scher for their compassion and support.

Cremation has been entrusted to Benner Funeral Home and thanks to Darren.
Dorothy wanted everyone to have one last Dorothy Pop, and to “Keep Smiling”
