My condolences to the Simons family. I knew Richard from high school and beyond. His smile was infectious and his welcome whenever we saw each other always uplifting. I am grateful that we had the opportunity to talk recently both in St. Catharines and in Fort Erie. He will be forever young and remembered with fondness. May he RIP

I am so sorry to learn of Richard’s passing. Also growing up in the west end, we often shared many stories and memories.

We would like to send our deepest condolences to Sye's family and friends. He was such a wonderful person. I met him 27 years ago at Gasport speedway. My late husband Bill Brooks owned his own racecar and he introduced me to Sye. from that time on he was not just a friend but family. He was always there for a talk or a hug. He was very special to us. I got to see him on monday the holiday and he had his smile as usual. We laughed, cried and talked about things from over the years of racing.
